Nutritionist-Led, Customer-Focused Meal Subscription Service

Balanced Meal was founded by Azima Shaikh, Ex-Lilavati Dietician and certified nutritionist, passionate about helping busy Mumbaikars eat healthier. Since 2009, we’ve been making healthy eating simple, tasty, and affordable through our nutritionist-designed meal subscriptions.

At Balanced Meal, we believe consistency is the secret to lasting health – without burning a hole in your pocket. Azima personally manages all diet plans, ensuring each client feels cared for and guided throughout their health journey.

Supporting her is Simmy Dhanda, our Operations Manager and the true backbone of Balanced Meal. She ensures every meal is prepared as per your nutrition goals and that every diet recommendation is perfectly catered to.

Each meal is crafted with fresh ingredients, minimal oil, zero preservatives, and balanced portions – combining great taste with proper nutrition. From Indian comfort food to high-protein global favorites, our meals are designed to nourish your body and satisfy your cravings.

Because at Balanced Meal, we believe healthy food should never be boring – food is emotion.

📍 Based in Andheri East, we deliver across Mumbai – from Malad to Colaba and many central areas – offering timely delivery, flexible plans, and personalized support.

We serve Ragi, Bajra, Jowari rotis , making sure you get that extra Iron, Calcium and Fibre.

We make use of calculated amounts of oil to prepare all our dishes just to make sure you do not exceed the daily requirement neither you lack it, after all Oil is absolutely needed everyday !

And to add to its nutritional value we use only Rice Bran oil, recommended by mostly all nutritionist.

We make sure there is a daily dose of protein by including either sprouts/soy/paneer to that meal.

There is no wasting of any important nutrients at Balanced meals, so we use vegetable broth for our cooking.

We use colorful veggies in our daily cooking making sure you get all the important Antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. eg. Vit A from red veggies like carrots. Lycopene from Tomatoes.

No body likes thin soups, so instead of thickening it up with starches (like cornflour) we like to use daals/oats which not only improves the taste and palatability but also the nutritional value.

Our plastic containers are food grade recyclable ones and microwavable and outer bags we use are made by Underprivileged women part of our profit is donated to them. Another reason to consider us for your healthy daily bite ?

We believe in variety. Thus, serve both Indian and Continental cuisine.

We can also have customized meals for people with medical history like Diabetes/Cardiac Problems, hypertension, thyroid etc.

Our calorie count meals are designed for our weight watcher friends.
